Day Retreat

The Practice of Returning

Sunday, November 1st · 10:30 AM–6:00 PM
Madre Tierra Farms| Livingston, TX

Investment: $250

A day to slow down. To listen. To reconnect. To return.

There are seasons when we find ourselves moving farther and farther away from our own center.

The Practice of Returning is an invitation to pause.

This intimate day retreat brings together movement, reflection, nourishment, creativity, and connection to create space for returning to yourself not as a destination, but as a practice.

Throughout the day, we'll move, rest, reflect, eat, talk, listen, and make space for whatever is asking for our attention.

You don't need to arrive with anything figured out. Just come as you are.

Space is intentionally limited to keep this experience intimate and allow for meaningful reflection and connection.

What Does It Mean to Return?

Returning doesn't always mean going backward. Sometimes returning means coming back to the parts of yourself that became quiet while you were busy surviving, achieving, caring for others, or simply moving through life.

It can mean returning to your body.

Returning to your breath.

Returning to your own voice.

Returning to what feels meaningful.

Returning to yourself.

This retreat is an opportunity to step outside of your usual rhythm for a full day and create space for that return.

Your Day at Madre Tierra Wellness Farm

The Practice of Returning is intentionally spacious. Rather than filling every moment, we'll create an arc that allows for both practice and pause.

Movement

We'll begin with embodied movement designed to help you arrive in your body and settle into the day. Expect intentional yoga and somatic practices that invite awareness rather than performance.

Reflection

Throughout the day, you'll be guided through practices of reflection and journaling designed to help you notice what is present and what you may be ready to return to.

Nourishment

We'll share a chef-prepared meal together, creating time to slow down, eat well, and enjoy being in community.

Reflection Workshop

A facilitated reflection experience will give you space to explore the day's themes more deeply through guided conversation and reflection.

Connection

There will be opportunities for both shared experience and quiet personal space. You are welcome to participate fully, quietly, or somewhere in between.

Integration

We'll close the day with practices designed to help you gather what you've experienced and consider what you want to carry with you beyond the retreat.

THE DAY

10:30 AM — Arrival + Settling In

Arrive at Madre Tierra Farm, settle into the space, and begin letting the pace of the outside world fall away.

11:00 AM — Opening + Nervous System Education

We’ll begin with an opening circle and accessible education around the nervous system, exploring how our bodies respond to stress, rest, safety, and change. From there, we’ll move into a gentle, embodied movement practice designed to bring awareness back into the body.

12:45 PM — Farm Lunch

A nourishing meal prepared for us at the farm. Time to eat, connect, and enjoy the slower rhythm of the day.

2:00 PM — Restore + Explore

The afternoon is yours to move at your own pace. Enjoy the farm’s recovery and restorative offerings, including:

  • Infrared sauna

  • Cold plunge

  • BioMat

  • Garden rest and quiet outdoor spaces

This is intentionally unstructured time. You might choose to rest, sit in the garden, journal, enjoy the recovery stations, or simply do nothing for a while.

3:45 PM — Workshop + Movement + Reflection

We’ll come back together for an embodied workshop combining movement, reflection, and guided exploration. A space to notice what has shifted throughout the day, what your body may be asking for, and what you want to carry with you beyond the retreat.

5:00 PM — Closing Circle

We'll gather one final time to reflect, integrate, and close our time together.

5:30 PM — Departure

Leave with a little more space inside yourself and perhaps a renewed sense of what it means to come home to your body.
